After buying the leather, it is hand painted and dried in the blazing sun of Marrakech, then cut and hand stitched, and finally sent to the outskirt of Marrakech to be finished with silk embroidery by local Berber women, showing their expert craftsmanship.

These poufs are sold unstuffed to save on shipping costs but are easily filled to your desired firmness: can be filled with a variety of different materials depending on what you have available and the kind of finish you wish to achieve, the best is polystyrene balls. Or you can also use cotton batting, old clothes, towels/blankets or shredded foam.
